Nutrien Tower takes first big step towards reality

Saskatoon Mayor Charlie Clark, local Member of the Legislative Assembly David Buckingham, and Saskatoon business legend and philanthropist, Dr. Karim "Kay" Nasser, were just a few of the dignitaries in attendance as Nutrien formally broke ground on Nutrien Tower in a recent ceremony.

Nutrien will occupy over 115,000 square feet of state-of-the-art office space in the building, which is targeted for completion in late 2021. This is a 20 percent increase over the space the company currently occupies in downtown Saskatoon.

Nutrien leadership reflected on the importance of Nutrien Tower to both employees and the City of Saskatoon.

The goal with Nutrien Tower is to develop a space for employees that is innovative, inspiring and engaging. Beyond the office space itself, the company is thrilled to be part of the River Landing Project – a vital redevelopment in the heart of our city. Nutrien is proud that the Tower will greatly enhance the South Saskatchewan Riverfront and reshape the city's skyline.

The event also featured a naming dedication ceremony for the plaza around the River Landing development on which Nutrien Tower sits. With friends and family in attendance, Dr. Nasser pulled the cover on a plaque, formally naming the area K.W. Nasser Plaza.
