Dean Perkins is Senior Vice President, Nitrogen Operations at Nutrien.
In this role, he oversees the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Nutrien’s global nitrogen production network, fostering a safety-first culture and leading teams committed to continuous improvement in alignment with corporate strategy.
Dean brings a diverse array of experience leading large-scale production facilities and executing strategic plans to support the growth of the business, its operations, and its people while fostering innovation and collaboration across teams.
Prior to joining Nutrien in 2025, Dean held progressively senior leadership roles in the energy sector, most recently serving as Senior Vice President – Operations, Oil Sands and Conventional Heavy Oil at Cenovus.
Dean attended the University of Calgary, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1995. Dean also serves on the Board of Directors for CAREERS, a not-for-profit foundation that connects industry, schools, government, and communities to guide youth toward rewarding career paths.
