Trevor Berg is Senior Vice President, Upstream, Potash and Phosphate Operations.
Prior to his current role, Trevor served as Senior Vice President of Potash Operations from 2022 to 2025. Having joined the company in 2000, Trevor has been instrumental in driving the growth and development of Nutrien’s potash business. He began his career as a Project Engineer at the Cory Potash facility before moving into operations, where he advanced through roles of increasing responsibility, including General Manager at multiple Saskatchewan locations. After leaving site operations, Trevor transitioned to the corporate group as Senior Director of Operational Strategy and Optimization, later taking on leadership positions as Vice President of Potash ETC and Procurement, and ultimately Senior Vice President.
Trevor’s robust background spans 27 years in the resource sector, encompassing potash, uranium, and oil and gas. His extensive experience and strengths in operations management, safety leadership, and cultivating high-performing teams dedicated to continuous improvement, makes him an invaluable asset to Nutrien’s Leadership Team.
A committed advocate for the mining industry, Trevor has represented the sector as a past board member and chair of the Saskatchewan Mining Association. Trevor is currently a member of the University of Saskatchewan’s Engineering Dean’s Advisory Board.
He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Saskatchewan, and recently completed a certificate in Finance for Executives from the INSEAD Asia campus.
