One team with a shared vision: advancing food security through innovation in crop nutrition and biostimulants
How do you feed a growing world while protecting the land that sustains it? At Nutrien, part of the answer lies in crop nutrition and biostimulants - solutions at the heart of helping farmers grow more with less.
In July, Nutrien’s international sales team gathered in California to sharpen its international strategy around these essential products. By working collaboratively across International Fertilizer Sales, Global Ammonia Trading and Crop Nutrition & Biostimulants, our teams are bringing the full strength of its upstream portfolio to customers worldwide, showing up as one united partner across regions and product lines.
These essential products represent both Nutrien’s long-standing leadership and its future growth ambitions. Crop nutrition supports yields and soil health, while biostimulants provide innovative ways to drive efficiency and resilience. Together, they are critical to strengthen food security and support sustainable agriculture globally.
“With biostimulants at the forefront, our goal is to connect proprietary products, and the knowledge behind them, to farmers worldwide, helping them achieve more with every acre,” says Chaitanya (CK) Kosaraju, Vice President, International Sales.“This commitment builds on decades of leadership in crop nutrition and our growing influence in the biostimulants market.”

“In addition to great team building and collaborative conversations, this broad and diverse group of Nutrien employees experienced a first-hand view at how we develop, validate, brand, manufacture and bring our proprietary products to market,” says Kent Lambden, Senior Director, Global Commercial Development. “Equally important, it showcased how our proprietary product technologies add real value and a positive return on investment for our farmers, which at the end of the day, is what matters most.”
Highlights included tours of manufacturing facilities that form the foundation of Nutrien’s upstream production, along with visits to LPI production operations in Biola, where proprietary products are developed. The group also toured Nutrien Ag Solutions’ Innovation and Research Farm to see how new technologies and products are tested and refined. They then visited a retail location and farms serviced by Nutrien Ag Solutions, where they observed LPI products in action and met with customers to discuss performance and yield. Leaders across the business provided strategic insight, and a closing session on building trust emphasized the importance of strong relationships with customers and partners.
“The team left California with a shared sense of pride and a renewed drive to deliver innovative, end-to-end solutions to our partners and customers,” says John Fowler, Senior Vice President, Sales. “As we continue to grow our international footprint, we do so with one voice, one vision and in support of One Nutrien—to help the world grow the food it needs.”
