Supporting Geismar’s Volunteer Fire Department

Nutrien Geismar is steadfast in its commitment to bolstering the local community and fostering positive, long-lasting impacts. A shining example of this dedication is Nutrien's partnership with the Geismar Volunteer Fire Department.

“It’s been a pleasure meeting with the fire department, seeing their facility firsthand, and getting to know their incredible team,” said Ebonie Raby, Nutrien’s Senior Community Relations and Investment Advisor at Geismar. “Their work is critical to the safety of the community and our site, and we’re pleased to provide support that will enhance their capabilities.”

Earlier this year, Nutrien demonstrated its commitment by donating $15,000 to the fire department for the acquisition of essential safety equipment.

Chief Nathaniel Stephens of the Geismar Fire Department expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Nutrien for its donation, and provided the team with an appreciation plaque. “As a volunteer organization, we often struggle to recruit and retain firefighters, and the financial support we receive from the government and the public is vital. Nutrien’s contribution has made a significant difference, and we are truly thankful. Through its donations, Nutrien has shown that it is a great corporate neighbor. Its interest in the community is to make it safer and stronger, and it realizes that Nutrien employees and contractors benefit from the services that the Geismar Volunteer Fire Department provides," said Chief Stephens.
